Our Story

Every great town has a corner where people naturally gather. A place you pass on your way somewhere else… and then one day, you stop.  

At 1406 King Street North in St. Jacobs, that corner became Studio C The Corner — a creative home for art experiences, conversation, connection, and community gatherings.  

The name Studio C carries layered meaning:  

C is for Corner — a literal nod to our location and the idea of a meeting place.  

C is for Creative — where ideas are sparked, explored, and celebrated.  

C is for Community — because art is better when it’s experienced together.  

C is for Collaboration — the heart of what happens here, from guided paint nights to commemorative art experiences.  

And The Corner is more than geography.  

It represents a pause in the day. A place to slow down, turn inward, and reconnect, with art, with others, and with yourself.  

But every corner has its keeper.  

Behind the scenes of Studio C and often quietly creating in plain sight is the in-house artist, whose work sets the rhythm of the space. Part observer, part storyteller, their role is not simply to create art but to transform moments into meaning.  

This is where the gallery and the studio gently blur.  

Guests may catch glimpses of works in progress, sketches pinned to studio walls, or pieces that seem to appear overnight. Each shaped by the stories, milestones, and emotions that pass through this corner every day.  

The in-house artist also serves as your guide through many of the experiences offered at Studio C, from guided paint nights and creative workshops to collaborative commemorative pieces that honor celebrations, tributes, surprises, and once-in-a-lifetime moments.  

Whether joining us for a guided evening of painting, an inspiring workshop, a thoughtfully curated youth program, or a meaningful private creative gathering, guests can expect more than instruction. They can expect atmosphere, encouragement, connection, and the quiet joy of creating in a space designed to feel both elevated and welcoming.
